2008 Monthly Newsletter
Don Underwood, KAMS club President, called the meeting to
order on January 6, 2008 2:00 p.m. at Ludlow Field.
Members present:
Don Underwood, Billy Ray Krebs, Duane Gonzales, Paul Verger, R. D.
Stacy, Bob Thornton, Norman Gerlach, David Spence, Lee Carroll, Lou
Porath, Pedro Valencia, Bush LeBourgeois, Jerry Gollott, Billy
Anderson.
Visitors present:

Treasurers Report:
The treasurers report was given by Paul Verger and accepted by the
quorum.
Old Business:
1) Annual Elections were held and the incumbent officers were
re-elected. Paul Verger is appointed the Secondary Treasurer.
2) Paul Verger and Don Underwood are our official Instructor Pilots.
3) Our Spring Fly-in is tentatively set for May 10, 2008.
4) We still need a battery for the Poulan lawn mower and the field will
need another mowing before spring. 5) Lawn mower maintenance - We need a battery for the Poulan. Lou will
check on this.
6) Discussion of the future of our field with Mr. Tommy Brodnax whom was
elected as District 4 Supervisor and the water table below the field
being about 30' to 40'.
New Business:
1) Watch out for the stake on the North end of the field.
2) Billy Ray is going to check with Mr. Tommy Brodnax, whom was elected
as District 4 Supervisor, on the status of the field.
3) Our Spring Fly-in is tentatively scheduled for May 10, 2008.
4) Be courteous and help each other out, especially the new members.
5) For the new members or returning members feel free to ask questions
and mingle with the old timers. They have a wealth of knowledge and may
save your plane someday.
